Creating Compelling Investor Presentations

Investor audiences have a limited attention span for company presentations. In a world of virtual meetings, there is a much greater need to be clear, concise and on message. To effectively engage and hold your audience’s attention, virtual investor meetings require a different mindset and application of new best practices.

This virtual workshop from expert instructor David Fine brings a powerful organizing concept to investor presentations - the pyramid principle. By applying the pyramid principle and the six proven presentation best practices, participants will gain actionable insights to achieve success in two key outreach components of an IR program:
  • Creating compelling and engaging investor presentations
  • Executing a successful investor day
Participants will also get the unique opportunity to submit their own investor presentations for critique. Learners whose presentations are reviewed will walk away with valuable feedback to elevate their presentations to the next level.  


Learning Outline

Day 1
  • Discuss the pyramid principle and best practices for creating a compelling investor story.
  • Participants will be assigned small group exercises to critique their colleages' investor presentations. 
  • Participants will have "homework" at the end of Day 1 to apply the principles to an investor deck. 
Day 2
  • Participants will collaborate in small groups to compare their presentation critique. 
  • We will discuss investor days - best practices, things to avoid.
